In NT Backup, on the 'restore files to' choice, did you leave it as original location or pick alternate location.
We just went through a test of this yesterday and I believe I had to leave it at 'original location' in order to not get the log path error that you have. Then you can choose to restore the store to a different server. Checked the last restore box, selected the recovery server, and entered a location for temporary log files and patches. NTBackup responded with "Unable to create log path..." No error messages were logged. I have hit a wall attempting to troubleshoot this problem. Technet and Google have not provided much help(Followed KB272591 and 262959, to no avail). I have replicated the folder structure of the original Exchange server and pointed the temporary log files there. Nope. Tried the administrative share. Tried a different box. No good. Help!, please. Is the fact that I'm using a third box with a tape drive a possible cause? Should I use a 2k3 version of NTBackup? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
