Our EX5.5 event service is configured to monitor conference room mailboxes (AutoAccept script), in addition to several public folders. Over the past couple of months, I've noticed that the events stop firing for *some* conference rooms and restarting the service will, quite often, resolve the problem.
I've got diagnostic logging enabled and find the following error - when it fails: A fatal error (0x8007000e) occurred in an IExchangeEventSink while processing message [Subject = "test3"] According to KB269794, this indicates an out of memory condition, and my tests seem to confirm this. Sometimes when the event fails, restarting the event service will NOT allow the event to fire, unless I stop some other non-critical service first. The article indicates that the heap size can be increased to eliminate the problem, but gives no recommendation on how to calculate a heap size that will not cause other problems. Current RAM on this server is 2G, with the default heap of 0x100000 (1G, I think). If I increase the heap, does that reduce the amount of RAM available for the store? Exchange Environment: Mixed, EX5.5 + EX2K3 "Problem" Server: NT4, SP6 - EX5.5, SP4 TIA!
