That's pretty large.  Has there been a mass creation/deletion of
accounts that you know of?  You might want to have a look for event id
1221 on the server, it will tell you how much white space is in the
database, and whether you will benefit from running an ESEUTIL.

Hi, I have some servers with a dir.edb around 1GB.  Its weird because
none of my mailbox servers are anywhere near that size.  These servers
are bridgehead and SMTP mail servers.  I remember having a problem like
this at a former job and running the EDBUTIL had no effect.  Microsoft
gave me some tool to help fix it.  I forget what its called (I think its
GSclient but can't get any hits on it in Google or at MS so I probably
have one of the letters wrong).  But I do remember that it wasn't very
effective for me anyway.

Thoughts anyone ?
