You create an ADC connection agreement to synchronise your 5.5 DLs into Active Directory, where they become Universal Distribution Groups (the ADC is hard-coded to do this). The Exchange store.exe process will then convert them to USGs for you, but this can only occur in a native mode domain. In other words, done correctly, it's all done for you. :)

Are these mail enabled security groups or do I have to created another Distribution group to replace the ones that we used for permissions and are converted?
