I have a Win2003, Exch2003 server no/SP yet. 512 MB RAM, single 600 MHz, 75 mailboxes.
The inetinfo process is constantly maxing out the CPU. This seems to have started yesterday. When I stop the SMTP service but leave all other IIS services running, the CPU load drops. Reboots do not help. The badmail and pickup folders are always empty. The queue folder accumulates files (messages) as if it were having trouble processing them but the do flow through eventually. The inetinfo process sometimes Dr Watsons when trying to stop the IIS Admin service. The event log has many of these entries but not always during the high CPU utilization times: Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: Exchange Store Driver Event ID: 348 Date: 9/14/2004 Time: 8:24:45 AM User: N/A Computer: EXCHANGE9 Description: A message could not be virus scanned - this operation will be retried later. Internet Message ID <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Error Code 0x0. If you could lend a hand, I'd appreciate it. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
