We never had any problems changing our IP address on the exchange
server.

Conversation: IP address change and Exchange 5.5
Subject: IP address change and Exchange 5.5

Exchange 5.5 has some restrictions that prevent it from functioning if
certain things are changed. I can't remember exactly what they are but
I think it includes things like the domain name and the server name.
I'm going to be moving my Exchange server to a different IP space
requiring that the IP address be changed. Of course, the DNS entries
will have to be changed. but is change of IP address one of those things
that will cause Exchange 5.5 services to not function? IP address and
DNS entries are the only things that will change. Domain and server
name will remain the same.

Thanks for your help.

Curt Finley
