You need to go to Tools-Options in Exchange 55 Admin and turn on the option
to display permissions on all objects.

Thanks
Chris

Let see here

In the 55 admin on the mailbox (USER1) > General Tab > Pri Win NT Acct...>
presently has the user = USER1

If I try and change this I can select Existing OR Create NEW

Sorry I am misunderstanding how to disaccossiate the user from the
mailbox.......

Do you mean totally blow away the USER1 mailbox and recreate it??

Also the permissions TAB... I assume here you mean thru say OL...cause I
have never seen a Permissions TAB on the admin in 55

Thanks
bill

It's possible in both 5.5 and E2K3, though done slightly differently.... and
to facilitate the move to E2K3 I'll describe the setup for 5.5 slightly
differently.

In the 5.5 Admin remove the mailbox which is currently assigned as the
primary NT account from the box on the General(?) tab. Assign that account
and the other user accounts as mailbox owners on the permissions tab.

When your ADC is put in place it will replicate the mailbox object over as a
disabled mailbox enabled user with the same access permissions.
