I am not wanting to do it either - I just need some convincing and compelling evidence to present to the right folks. Can you point me to some links (preferably Microsoft) that recommends against it? Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 4:22 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: dangers of exchange 5.5 to 2000 inplace upgrade I STRONGLY recommend against it. Microsoft recommends against it. Your chances of success are small. You would have to follow this path: 1) Upgrade NT4 to Windows 2000 2) Upgrade Exchange 55 to Exchange 2000 3) Upgrade Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 4) Upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 The chances of it all working, without going through the process at least a half-dozen times in the lab, are just about zero. This is no insult to you - it's just that the number of variables are extremely high. A swing upgrade is the way to go. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steve B Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 4:11 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: dangers of exchange 5.5 to 2000 inplace upgrade Ok, I am ready for a seriosu answer.
