It better because that's a really crappy solution from Symantec. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Larry Wahlers Sent: Friday, November 05, 2004 7:08 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Symantec/Veritas question
Many thanks to all who responded re: disabling VSAPI before running backups. As it turned out, my test backup that I did yesterday completed successfully. This is with Backup Exec 9.1, E2K3SP1 (hence, VSAPI 2.5), and SMSMSE 4.5. And, while the backup was running, I sent 20 meg or so of email messages to the server, including 4 instances of the Eicar test virus. So, I'm reasonably confident that all will work just fine. ==================================== Larry Wahlers, Systems Specialist Concordia Technologies The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
