we switched from mailsweeper to ironport c30's, and the ironports are working great, though the sophos AV scanner on them is somewhat limited (it can't recognize an email worm such as mydoom from a legit mail with a virus attachment). so far the ironports have reduced our inbound SMTP mail by 70% due to our use of senderbsae to drop SMTP connections from spammers. Now, if you want to quarantine the suspect email so that users can check it and release it then you'd have to use the brightmail quarantine server provided by symantec, and that thing sucks. it might be better to just have the ironports put the tag [SPAM SUSPECT] in the subject line and have it sent to the users.
