Yep, they get 'requesting data' time-outs for every email

I was asking if the high cpu utilization was causing clients to have dropped/refused connections or significantly slow response time when they are connected. I only see errors concerning the DNS, but someone else is working on that problem. Could it be related? Kim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Eric Fretz Sent: donderdag 9 december 2004 14:35 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: CPU peaking Dllhost is a service that hosts DCOM-based dll objects. I should be there if you are using any DCOM objects. One thing though... Check to see if dllhost.exe exists in the C:\winnt\system32\wins directory. If you find a copy there, you've got a worm on your server. The *real* dllhost.exe lives in C:\winnt\system32\ Is your server responding to clients? You should also check your event logs to see if online database maintenance runs have been started. That would explain the activity in STORE.EXE Good luck, Eric Eric Fretz L3 Communications ComCept Division O: 972.772.7501 F: 972.772.7510 C: 214.794.9288 [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: Kim Schotanus [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 09, 2004 5:13 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: CPU peaking Hi there, my CPU is running constantly at 100%, partly store.exe and the other process is DLLHOST.EXE. What is the DLLHOST.EXE? I have never noticed it before and I wonder what it's doing...
