In Exchange 5.5, the mailbox is what matters since there is only a loose
association between accounts and mailboxes.  In Exchange 2000, it's the user
that matters since it contains all the mail attributes.

Actually, the account was never deleted, just the mailboxes. But, the result
was, indeed, the same.
