There was a problem where ESM reported inaccurate data for mailbox sizes. The fix was included in the Sept. post-SP3 store rollup:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813880 That would be my best guess at what you are seeing if there are truly no mail items in the mailbox. When you right click on the mailbox via Outlook at the root and do properties\folder size, if there is no where near 92 MB of mail...it would sound like its related to the above article.
