The support has gone completely downhill into the midden heap. I spent a few weeks trying to get an answer on why scanning an Exchange store was so slow only to be told that it was a MS issue.
A follow up call to Microsoft came back with that the scanning speed of the AVAPI was limited only by the amount of hardware. I spent the next week or so trying to get Symantec to respond to that and was finally told that there was nothing that could be done and have I heard about their anti-spam solution? When I first evaluated the gateway "product" I found that their routing logic was poor, their implementation of SMTP was weak and their manageability of queuing was non-existent. I wouldn't recommend their product for any e-mail system. My company got it in the Symantec enterprise "Suite", effectively for free. I'm trying to convince them to use a linux mail host running sendmail - as I've been doing for the last while - but to no avail. Symantec's line is that they go by strict RFC rules - my reply, was that's fine, but what about the real world rules?
