A mailbox or DL works as well. Disadvantage to a mailbox: It gets delivered and someone needs to clean it up or live with the wasted space. Disadvantage to a black hole DL: No NDR to the sender letting them know the mail wasn't delivered to the intended recipient (similar issue for mailbox as well I no one is monitoring it.
