Yes Sorry. Exchange 2003, Server standard 2003. It does the same thing with or without Exchange sp1.
I can telnet to the server by hand and it responds on port 25. From the logs (that I can understand) the server responds fine and the mail connects but then it just sits there and doesn't actually accept the mail. I have rebuilt the server twice, uninstalled and reinstalled exchange 4 or 5 times. I am not running anything special. Only 1 server in the organization, it is an out of the box install.
