It was fairly easy for me to convince the CxOs to manage their mailboxes: I presented them with the options of server upgrades, additional storage for backups, and longer backup windows, or a fairly restrictive Mailbox Manager policy. I set limits of 30 days or 1MB on Inbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items, and anything that they believe they need to keep longer, they can move to a separate folder. When their mailboxes reach 100MB, they get warnings, and at 1GB, they can't send or receive. Seems draconian, but the CxOs don't complain.

It's very difficult to get clients to keep their mailboxes below, say, 200 meg when our own people have much more space than that. -- Larry Wahlers Concordia Technologies The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
