Ensure the alias on the Exchange Alias tab is renamed.  This is what it
used to do a lookup in the GAL when someone types in a partial name.
Ensure the new and old style name are changed.

Best way to rename a list is to right click on it and choose rename,
then go in and manually change the alias and e-mail address.

A user on a direct MAPI connect or OWA will see the GAL change
immediately.  A user on RPC over HTTP or any other form that uses the
OAB will not see it update until the OAB updates, which is once a day at
like 2am by default.  You can manually update it or schedule to update
more often.  For 1500+ mailboxes, it only rakes about 2 seconds on my
dual xeon box, so I have it run 4x a day as I have many RPC over HTTP
users.

I have re-named a distribution list on my Exchange 2003 server (single
server), and on the server's copy of the GAL the name has been changed.
But in Outlook, when I look at the GAL the old name still shows, and
when I type the new name it resolves to the old name.  

I have checked that there are no RUS errors.  The SMTP address for the
DL has been changed and that works.  So, short of rebooting the server,
I'm at a loss.  Can anyone help?
