Panic. What I saw was an AntiSpyware situation that was out of control, with defensive tools that were immature and not up to the job, and thinking that there was *nothing* to protect the most important server. But I was cautious--I only put AntiSpyware on a lab server. And I'm heeding your collective advice. I'll take it off.
