SAN-based replication is the only supported method as far as I know.

The only "native" IS replication that Exchange supports is public folder
replication (and its not really at informaiton store level, just folder
level within the PF heirachy).

Clustering doesn't do replication either, its a shared IS between the two
cluster nodes.

If you have your IS located on a SAN, you can use the underlying Snapshot /
SnapClone etc of the given venodr to give you a pseudo replication (will
require a level of manual intervention at the other end to bring Exchange
alive).
