Ahh... Well, my users know that they're supposed to shut down or reboot their PCs when they leave for the day... so no problems there. :-)

It was the red headed step child of all OL clients. I remember OL97. It had a vicious memory leak. If I didn't shut down my OL on Friday, my NT4 PC would be dead on Monday. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Aldrich Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 12:21 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: OL97 wierdness I believe OL98 was released as a free upgrade/update. However, I see no real point in upgrading all my clients to OL98 as I can find no significant difference between the two. Especially with all the other upgrades/patches for OL97 which Microsoft has provided free of charge. -----Original Message----- From: Ken Cornetet [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 3:20 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: OL97 wierdness I think that an Exchange 5.5 CAL entitled the user to at least Outlook 98. It may have even entitled the user to Outlook 2000. I can't remember if Exchange 2000 came out before OL2K or after. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevinm Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 1:57 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: OL97 wierdness 5.5 had the Exchange client. Think about it this way -- if you didnt' have to buy a new copy of Outlook each time, Microsoft wouldn't be worth billions because they'd make one version of Office, and then when they came up with a new version, everyone would have a free upgrade, and I don't think M$ intends to give away free upgrades. Unless you buy into their special "guaranteed upgrade" path. Literally buy-in. Well, it's what we have licenses for...so that's what we use. We also have a few licenses for Office 2000, and thus a few users (myself included) using that version of Office. I wouldn't object to upgrading them all to Office 2003, but getting that approved is about as likely as dinosaurs suddenly appearing alive and well in New York! :-) John -----Original Message----- From: Geni [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 11:54 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: re: OL97 wierdness I'm sorry, my brain just stuck on the Outlook 97 part.
