Hi Albert, Thanks for this, you are absolutely correct - When I got one of my colleagues (mailbox homed on the other server to mine) to give me permissions, voila - I could get in.....
This does however prompt me to ask a couple more questions - As a user with server assigned permissions, I can access all mailboxes on the same server as me without them giving permission, but if on a different server (same org and admin group), they need to give permission - Surely this should be consistent across the board (either way) ??? And the obvious question - Is there any way to over-ride this? The requisite was for 'covert' access. It's not very covert if the user has to assign permissions....... Thanks if anyone can help.... If the user says default view = NONE then voila yeah you can see he has a mailbox, but you gotta no accessa! Had the same thing happen here when people were "trying" to share or give their secretary permissions to read/send as them. Checked permissions and he had DENIED everyone access. /ALE > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Mike Manning > Sent: Thursday, May 26, 2005 8:41 AM > To: Exchange Discussions > Subject: Re: Open Mailboxes on two separate servers > > How long did the user wait to open the mailbox.
