What is it if you have 200 stores each over 35GB? > On E2000/E2003, anyone who wouldn't split that into multiple > stores is foolish. Restoration of a 35GB database falls well within the established SLAs for many of my customers. It's possible to get some quite respectable restore speeds these days. > I am > generous and give every user at least 75mb, but that's more > space then any general users needs IMO. I have several customers with averages of 1GB or more. > E-mail isn't meant for file storage. That's simply false. E-mail (message+ attachment) constitutes a document record. So for many organizations saving them separately is at best difficult and unproductive. While there are steps that many organizations can take to institute best practices surrounding e-mail, your database design and messaging size limits are, I think, a bit dated. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
