GFI can mark mail SPAM or send it to a designated email addy. It can definatly create false positives, when using the baysian analysis (like ANY baysian filter) , but it should be quite low. We have baysian not on at the moment, you can switch on and off all filters. Keyword lists, blocking lists, relay lists, baysian etc. Baysian will require the exchange server to route outgoing throught the proxy, so it can create whitelists of outgoing mails. We also use baysian on the client side with Spambayes, which works quite well also. GFI can sit on the email protocol level on the exchange server, or as a seperate proxy before it (out setup) so to not burden exchange wih extra load.
The thing I like best about this setup is that when exchange is down, the proxy still queues the mail. Trivial perhaps, could do with any mail product almost, but very handy.
