Too much work doing it with backup exec if you can simply reconnect the orphan.

When he tried to restore mailbox from last night's tape, BackUpExec failed, saying it could not attach to one of the drives. I went to system manager and saw the deleted mailbox was still there. So can I associate it with another AD account that doesn't have a mailbox, Restore from tape to a PST file, create a new account and mailbox and import PST file into it? We're running EX2K.
