That tactic has one flaw is that email tends to have a copy and that that copy of that email might be outside of your organization. :) Email might not just be a liability, but if you do delete everything you also most likely destroy the emails that might save you in a courtcase. I used to be that person myself, but I decided to give one of the organizing systems a try and it really made a difference. At the moment I have 20 items in my Inbox but shortly I'll have that pared back down to the usual 2-3 items.
