They had Exchange 5.5 on Win2k DC server. No ADC configured. (Well, it was installed, but no agreements set).
I exmerged the data out of 5.5, and into their new server, E2k3 SP2 on Win2k3 (also a DC). Workstations were updated to Outlook 2003 (where applicable), and pointed at the new server. Other than the previously mentioned nickname issue, everything is fine. I'll add that they use POP3 in Outlook, but store the mail in their mailboxes. Not my design, and they're reluctant to change that. It looks like KB 836419 might be the issue.
