Below are two possible solutions:

-------------------------

When you use your Outlook 2003 version to open a client's
mailbox, two changes occur to the mailbox:
 - They now have a new folder called "Junk E-mail"
 - They have an extra field added to their Calendar that
   did not exist in OL2000.

How this effects the client:
 - When the client now uses his own Outlook 2000
client everything is ok until they try to log out.
 - Their account will not close. Task manager is necessary
to kill the Outlook.exe each time.

Solutions:
 - Delete the "Junk E-mail" system folder (just for looks)
 - Have the client log into their Outlook using the
   ".../CleanFreeBusy" switch.
 - Then log out. They will need to kill Outlook.exe in
the task manager this last time.

The next time they log in all will be back to normal.

-----------------------

Outlook 2003 implements a change in how it exits if some synching
software started Outlook first and still has the PDA in the cradle
when you try to exit Outlook from the user interface. Previous
versions killed that session and exited Outlook completely. Outlook
2003 doesn't exit if the PDA is still in the cradle.

So there are 2 options. First remove the PDA from the cradle before
you exit Outlook. Second option is to start up Outlook yourself with
no PDA in the cradle and then start the synching software after
Outlook starts. In both cases Outlook should then be able to
completely exit.

It can also happen if you have Outlook 03 client AND an Outlook 02/k2 client
accessing the same mailbox.
