While not supported by Microsoft, I have no issues with PSTs over 100bT LAN. Some users have PST's as big as 10gigs. I've never had single one corrupt. Please, no one give me the usual junk about PST's being bad. I know the risks and reasons, but there is no other option aside from an e-mail archiving solution, and we are not ready to fire that up yet (althought it looks like we may go with Mimosa NearPoint, at which time, we'll suck back in all PSTs).

I have some user that create pst file on the local c drive and now they want to backup the pst. I was thinking of placing the pst file on the network mapped drive and let the daily backup take care of it. Anyone out there with user that access 1GB pst over the network? How will this effect the network traffic?
