What is the best way to handle this? Should I move everything into their inbox and remove the PST file?

I have some user that create pst file on the local c drive and now they want to backup the pst. I was thinking of placing the pst file on the network mapped drive and let the daily backup take care of it. Anyone out there with user that access 1GB pst over the network?
