Hi Ed,

The IS service restarted (along with most other exchange services) when I
restarted the System Attendant service.

Since yesterday I have recreated the deleted server (just ran a new install
on it) and Public folders then began working again without my having to make
any other config changes. I have left it overnight and then deleted it again
this morning. Everything is now working fine and the config is exactly the
same as it was when I sent yesterdays plea for help. Go figure.

Anyway, thanks for the reply Ed. I must remember to do things in the correct
order in future <grin>.

Have a good holiday everyone.
