Hi Ed, The IS service restarted (along with most other exchange services) when I restarted the System Attendant service.
Since yesterday I have recreated the deleted server (just ran a new install on it) and Public folders then began working again without my having to make any other config changes. I have left it overnight and then deleted it again this morning. Everything is now working fine and the config is exactly the same as it was when I sent yesterdays plea for help. Go figure. Anyway, thanks for the reply Ed. I must remember to do things in the correct order in future <grin>. Have a good holiday everyone. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Ed Crowley [MVP] > Sent: 20 December 2006 20:42 > To: Exchange Discussions > Subject: RE: Ex2003 Public Folders > > > Have you stopped and restarted the Information Store service? > > Ed Crowley MCSE+Internet MVP > Freelance E-Mail Philosopher > Protecting the world from PSTs and Bricked Backups!T > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Mark > Dewell > Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 4:27 AM > To: Exchange Discussions > Subject: Ex2003 Public Folders > > Hi, > > I am having a problem with Public Folders on an Exchange 2003 > clustered > server. > > I have just removed what was the first Exchange 2003 server > from our domain > and I had forgotten to change the Mailbox Store Policy that > told some of our > mailstores which default public store to attach to.
