Uninstall Exchange 5.5. In Exchange Administrator, delete the server from
the site. If you can't delete the server, follow the error messages and
delete or reconfigure the components that are preventing the deletion.

Subject: removing/uninstalling a 5.5 server from Org

Hello,

What is the best way to uninstall Exchange 5.5 and remove any references to
the old server name? This is a total 5.5 environment, i.e. there are no
2000/2003 servers.

I found this article but am unsure if it's really the proper method:

Thanks for any help,

joon
