Can't say I agree with getting the 8125 over the 8525. I believe that the 8525 is getting a Windows Mobile 6 update. I'd definitely stick with hardware that is still receiving software/firmware updates as opposed to something EOL. Of course you can always use unsupported firmware that is floating around out there, but I'm not sure how many people would want to support that in an Enterprise environment.

It is an international Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone. It supports 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. 2.0MP camera. (Also note there is a non-camera version available. Can't remember the model for it.) Micro-SD expansion. 400Mhz Samsung processor. 8125 is an International Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. 802.11b Wi-Fi. 1.3MP camera (non-camera version is the 8100). Mini-SD expansion. 200Mhz TI OMAP processor. Unofficially it can do 802.11g through a software hack, but the processor is too slow in it to make it worthwhile. Also, the 8525 just feels like a more sturdy phone to me. But I don't use either of them on a daily basis, as I use a T-Mobile Dash. I personally prefer the Smartphone software, as it seems to be less convoluted. So I prefer the Dash or Cingular's Samsung Blackjack. However, if you need to be able to easily access VPN or a server through terminal services, then the PocketPC based devices (8525/8125) are probably the way to go. I've had the 8125 for quite some time now, and it's a great phone. Most pda phones are pretty similar, if they're using 5.0.. However, it's the little things that set this one apart.. Like it doesn't crash very often (Mabye 3 times in the past year).. And it's got a great sliding keyboard.. The only difference between the 8525 and the 8125 is a little bit of processor speed. If he's not going to try and run something like Skype on the phone, he can save some dough with the 8125. <sigh>Finally, I got to add something to the group, besides a question.</sigh> Thanks David -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jim Dandy Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2007 12:29 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Mobile access to Exchange His provider is Cingular. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:bounce- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Wessell > Sent: Tuesday, March 27, 2007 2:52 PM > To: Exchange Discussions > Subject: RE: Mobile access to Exchange > > What cell phone provider are you with?? > > -----Original Message----- > From: "Jim Dandy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Exchange Discussions" <[email protected]> > Sent: 3/27/07 5:35 PM > Subject: Mobile access to Exchange > > I've got a guy who wants one of those PDA/Cell Phone things to connect > to Exchange 2003.
