No, to achieve this I would forward emails from exchange to a smarthost
and have the smarthost rewrite the from email address from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . This is functionality I have
available on my mail gateway but do not use.

Cheers
Dean

Subject: RE: Exchange advanced SMTP Configuration ?

Is there a way to remove the 2nd Internet smtp email address from AD but
still have users email being sent from exchange show up as a different
address to the recipient.

So what Im saying is for user1 in AD make sure he only has one smtp
address [EMAIL PROTECTED] , now I want that user to email me at say
[EMAIL PROTECTED] but I want to see in the email that it came from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] not [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is there a way to accomplish
this in either the outlook profile or in AD WITHOUT adding in the 2nd
SMTP address into AD and setting it as primary.
