Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the powers that be want to lock down IM to just one product, and they think that product is some sort of built-in IM server in Exchange 2007. I've just been googling all over the place for it, and all I can find is that apparently, it has nothing to do with Exchange, as this link seems to say:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP012335511033.aspx But, there is apparently also this 2007 product: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/communicationsserver/default.aspx So, after I get Exchange 2007 up and running, I would install Office Communications Server 2007 and have everybody use the built-in Windows Messenger IM client? Or, do I even need Office Communications Server 2007? -- Larry Wahlers Concordia Technologies The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod MailTo:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Business Phone: (314) 996-1876 _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
