We use CommVault for Exchange backups and Exchange archival (ILM). We have found the support of their lesser products (ILM, SharePoint, Compliance etc.) to be less than the main Galaxy product (sorry Simpana).
We upgraded to version 7 last year, and it was a troublesome upgrade from 6. Most of the issues should have been caught in QA, because our vanilla lab caught them immediately. At one point we had so many open issues that we felt our lab was the CommVault QA lab. The other thing we have found is that their support starts off with the same statement for every problem; "You need to be on the latest SP or revision". That is fine for the main product, but when the Outlook ILM piece requires an add-on to thousands of desktops, it is not realistic. Other than these recent problems we have found CommVault to be pretty good. Certainly their solution has a lot of potential over the other major backup solutions. Additionally we get people on the phone that understands the product 24X7, which is more than can be said of other backup vendors. Our backup and storage person can provide more detail if you want to get in contact offline.
