I was applying updates through the scm client on a 2008 r2 exchange 2010 server when something happened and the client exited. This left all the exchange services disabled, firing up a snapshot of a dc and this server in a lab and taking a wmi dump of all the services has these all set back properly but now forefront suggests the vsapi is no longer registered.
I didn't notice sp2 ru 7 was in the list, I had planned on installing sp3 and ru 1 after the windows updates. Anyone been through this before and familiar with the required resolution for this mess? Thanks! jlc
