I think that anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes is normal. I've got one client
that bumped it up to 120 minutes, but that was because of a beta bug with
Exchange, since corrected.

Subject: [Exchange] HLB Persistence Timeouts

We have implemented our Exchange 2010 CAS Array behind a Citrix Netscalar HLB
solution. We are using Source-IP for our method of persistence across all
protocols.

We are curious about what people are using in the "real world" for timeout
values for each of the protocols, particularly RPC, Outlook Anywhere and
Outlook Web Access.

Currently our settings are 30 minutes across the board and we are thinking this
is too low as we are seeing our Outlook and Outlook Anywhere clients
disconnecting and reconnecting over and over again throughout the day.

Thanks,
Carl
