The odd thing is thing is that these were sent to a new employee who only
started this week, so it very unlikely anyone had her address cached.

The cached (wrong) email address for recipient on the sender’s outlook, or
conflicting Alias and Email Addresses may cause that. User thinks that the email
goes to one alias, but actually it is picked up by another mailbox or routed
to somewhere else due to the conflicts in names and addresses. Also check email
rewrite rules and send connectors especially if you upgraded from some earlier
legacy systems. They
may all contribute to routing delays.

Subject: Delivery delayed to internal user

Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2014 11:18:29 -0400

Hi all,

I had two users get a delivery delay to internal users , one last night , and
one this morning-

I have experienced this in the past but only with an external recipient,
(usually a DNS error or something of the sort) what would/could cause this
internally?

Thanks
