I would do
get-receiveconnector "<name of connector>" | fl
first to see if the mystery could be explained. Wouldn't be the first time the
GUI lied.

But your set-receiveconnector line is perfectly fine and should force the issue.

Sorry i will clarify, the receive connector is set to receive from IPS 0.0.0.0
- 255.255.255.255

Authentication is set to basic, and anonymous allowed.

Yet still get no permissions

Your question is not clear. "Apparently" configured - it either is or it isn't.
If it is set to accept from a specific IP the condition you state is expected
behavior. Could you clarify please?

An Exchange 2010 server receive connector though apparently configured to
accept e-mail from an ip is rejecting e-mail from every ip with the error

550 5.7.1 External client with ip address does not have permissions to submit
to this server.

I have compared with other internet receive connectors and it is set the same.

Google seems to only bring up issues between hub and edge servers, this is a
multi role single server setup.

Thanks

Graeme
