Has anyone successfully got IM for E2k to consistently run without the
authentication failure problem? I've tried every KB article I could find
on it and nothing seems to keep it consistently working.

E2k, SP1, Win2k AS, SP2. Nothing else on the box, not a domain
controller. Have the resource record. Tried host header change, alias.
Can't seem to get it to consistently work. Client is the SP1 3.5
version. No other version installed over it.

TIA for any thoughts.
