So now you've learned like many of us already have, that recalls most of the
time do not work. I've personally only seen it work a few times. I could
probably count it on one hand. I just don't use it for that reason. Glad
to hear that things cleared up for you though. It can be a scary moment
when you don't quite know what is going on with your Exchange server.

Everything is back to normal here, the recall never worked. I guess
all it took was time.

I'd just let it go. BTW, recalling the message simply compounded the
problem, because this is yet another message to 8000 recipients. It is
the
Outlook client that processes recalls, not the server. If you've asked
for
recall status messages, then there will be even more traffic as
recipients'
Outlook sends status messages back to the sender.

The store on one box is taking 100% of one CPU. We had a student this
morning that sent a message to all the students on campus about 8000
mailboxes. The message contain voting buttons, delivery receipt, and
read receipt. I recalled the message but the server continues at 100%
on one of the processors of the server. The other one goes between
70%-100%. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check for.
