Or create a .pst - it may be possible to delete the "special" folders using one of the older (non outlook) MS MAPI clients like exchange or InBox or Messaging. Not certain though; I've not tried this myself. Maybe someone should write a "pointless extensions for VP's" plug-in for outlook ;-)

Well, you could have him create a folder under his Mailbox and call if "Personal Folder". Then he would have his personal folder, but his mail would still be stored on the mail server. You wouldn't want to call it "Personal Folders" because that would imply that it contained folders under it, and that is not what he wants. Or am I typing too early in the morning for this to make any sense? Or is it the VP that doesn't make any sense? Joel K. The VP of my company wants to create personal folders with no subfolders underneath. By default, a Deleted Items folder gets created under the personal folder. He does not want that folder there. I explained to him that it is a folder that cannot be deleted. It's part of Microsoft's design for personal folders. He is not satisfied with that answer. There is no way to create a personal folder without that Deleted Items folder, is there??
