Exchange can deal with this no problem. One of our customers Dual PII
266, 512MB RAM box handles about 80,000 mails per day and doesn't even
raise a sweat.

You could certainly write a small batch of code to handle this, but
exchange isn't really the best solution. Look into one of the mailing
list servers like lyris, as they are better suited to this role.
