Subject: RE: Intrasite replication for Exchange Public Folders

Okay, a few things to check...

Basically, you've got your PF's homed wrong. Your clients have moved to
a new home server that the PF's haven't replicated to yet.

In Xadmin, go to Site, Servers, the server you want to be the PF home
server, and Public Info Store Properties. Check the instances tab and
ensure your PF's are located on the server you want them to be. Go to
the Private Info Store Properties and on the General tab choose which
server you want your PF Home server to be.

Under your Organization Name, go to Folders, Public Folders, and
properties of each PF. Check the Replicas tab to ensure what servers
the PF are replicated to and check the advanced tab for the home server
designation.

Check out the PFAdmin tool in the BORK it will help you with some of
your issues as well.

That's about all I can think of at the moment....

Subject: Intrasite replication for Exchange Public Folders

Have had problems with Intrasite PF replication for a week. Started when
I created a new Exchange server in our site to replace a leased server.

There are three now, Public Folders replicate to all. I have to remove
the leased server in about a week, so have been transferring mailbox's
off it and onto the new server.

I have set all the instances of public folders to exist on all servers,
when they had completed replication. I intend to move them off the lease
box and delete it from the site etc.

The public folder replication is not fully taking place on the new
server. There are some folders have replicated fully, some not at all
(about 75% have). As I migrate users mailbox's to the new server they
look in public folders and see some of the folders as empty.

If I move a mailbox back to the old server they can see all the Public
Folder's data.

I've turned up the PF logging but can't see any errors except for
succesful replication messages for all servers.

I've been working with the BackOffice reskit PF tool replver but am
unable to find our main root folder. And now starting to get complaints
from some users that they can no longer see this root folder (most can).

Things going downhill, gloom descends, and it's my Birthday today.

Hope this makes sense, and someone can point me in the right direction.

Tried re-homing the PF's, change replication interval, and other non
productive acivity.

Thanks

Ash
