Dear anyone,

We have a Lotus Notes environment connected to our Exchange environment.
The messaging bridgehead server (Exchange 5.5) is connected to the
Exchange/Notes gateway server with an X400 Connector. The Exchange/Notes
gateway (Exchange 5.5) is connected to the Notes environment with a
Connector for Lotus Notes.
We have an anti-virus software package installed on the Lotus Notes server
the Connector for Lotus Notes is connected to. We want to implement some
sort of second security layer between Exchange and Notes. Keeping in mind
that there is still no anti-virus scanner for an X400 Connector on
Exchange 5.5, is it possible to put an extra box between the messaging
bridgehead and the Exchange/Notes gateway, connect the messaging
bridgehead to the extra box with an X400 Connector, connect the extra box
to the Exchange/Notes gateway with an IMS and install a virus scanner that
can scan the IMS on the extra box to form this second security layer or is
this stupid thinking?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Olivier
