We are planning on moving our Exchange 5.5 users over to an Exchange 2000 box soon. Here is my plan - did I miss anything big? Thanks for your help.
1. Set up Exchange 2000 SP1 on Win2kSp2 new server, joining existing organization 2. Move users over using Active Directory Users and Computers (plan for 1 gig/hour) while users are logged on to 3. Replicate public folders, after replication rehome to new server 4. Set up internet mail connector, once tested and working change to a lower cost than the 5.5 internet mail connector 5. Update MX records with ISP, add MX record on internal dns server 6. Figure out how to move the custom forms 7.
