This is a bit of a developer question, but I'm wondering if anyone here has run across this issue:
In the MAPI documentation, PR_SEARCH_KEY is supposedly unique within "the entire world". It is also supposed to provide "a trace for related objects, such as message copies". So we have used it as a means of finding the link between a copy of a message in the private store and a copy in the public store. However, we have recently found examples of several messages that are within the same email thread (ie. same conversation topic) and have identical PR_SEARCH_KEY properties. They are unique messages, but have the same search key?
