Actually any calls you receive after the change are people who shouldn't be using it in the first place. However, Brent may be right. In such a widespread deployment like that, it may be impossible to track everything down. After you change the password, not only you'll get calls, but your service account will start locking up. My advice is, read the related Technet articles thoroughly to understand the consequences of what you're doing, prepare for the change, do it in just one site with preferrably a single server as a pilot and then change the account everywhere. After everything is working with the new account, remove all rights of the old service account. If anyone complains that they don't have the level of access that they used to have, tell them to pound sand ... Ahem.... I mean work with them to determine the exact rights they need.

Talked to MS already but they don't see beyond Exchange. (simple, just change it and let it replicate) I've inherited a very old and mismanaged system. Everyone knows the service account and it probably used in a variety of differant ways attaching to the Exchange system. Does anyone know of any utilites to interrogate where and how the service account is being used. I know this can be a horror show so I want to make sure I have as many bases covered as possible.
