I am using ScanMail for Exchange and when I setup the attachment filtering option I noticed only inbound messages from an outside source are affected. I read up and found that is correct, only messages queued thought the SMTP connector are affected. So here is my question, what protocol does E2K use when sending messages inside the same Storage Group? And is the local delivery queue used anytime a message is sent in the same site? What determines what is used to allow one physical server to send another server in the same site?
